Note to Self….
Make sure the camera bag is not in the photo. DOH!!!

About 2 years ago I took a B&W photo of this tree with a 35mm camera and 17mm lens. It was one of the first B&W film photos I ever took and I have always liked it. Since acquiring my 67 gear I thought it would be cool to go back and retake the photo in medium format. So one day not to long ago we took a drive out to the lake to take some photos. When we got there, it was cold and windy which made setup a pain. Wearing gloves, I quickly setup the tripod, mounted the camera and framed the shot, using for the first time my newly acquired waist level finder, quickly fired of 2 frames and headed home. When a finally got the roll developed and got it home for scanning, to my horror I noticed that in my hurry to take the photo, I hadn’t realized the camera bag was in the frame.
Lesson learned,

It happens to me occasionally. If your using the standard or meter prism you may not see the outer periphery of the frame. The waist level finder works best for viewing the full screen. Very nice image by the way. Also glad to see another film shooter. What lens did you use?
Thanks for commenting Jim. On that shot I was using the 45 f/4.
